Museums and PARKS

The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum is best known as the home of the world's largest wooden flying boat, the "Spruce Goose," the SR-71 "Blackbird," the Titan II SLV Missile and the P-38 "Lightning." In addition, there are more than 200 historic aircraft, spacecraft and exhibits on display, along with Oregon's largest IMAX® 3D theater.

The City Park, with a tennis court and cool shady paths is accessible from the west end of 3rd Street and Joe Dancer Park, on the east end of Third Street offers a grassy respite of baseball and soccer fields, ideal for a morning run or an afternoon promenade. Miller Woods is located 3 miles west of McMinnville and available for public hiking and activities.  Silver Falls State Park is the kind of standout scenic treasure that puts Oregon firmly onto the national—and international—stage. Located about 75 minutes east, it's called the "crown jewel" of the Oregon State Parks system.

Visit McMinnville Oregon, The McMinnville Downtown Association and the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce are good sources for upcoming events and additional information.
